Larry Drake

A graveside service for Mr. Larry Drake will be held at 3:30 pm, Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Black Jack Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Duvall will officiate. Visitation will be held 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, Saturday at McClain-Hays Funeral Service. Mr. Larry Drake, 75, of Philadelphia died on February 23, 2023 at the MS. State Veterans Home. Mr. Larry was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County. He retired from the United States Marine Corp. (rank Master SGT.) after 23 years of service. He was a member of the VFW and a member of the New Black Jack Baptist Church. He is survived by his stepson, Paul King; brother, Troy Drake (Virginia); sisters, Shelia Land (Mike), Darlene Bryan (Aaron), Debbie Drake, Connie Land (Brad); several nieces, nephews and their families. He is preceded in death by his father, H.B Drake; mother, Jackie Drake; brother, Gary Drake. Pallbearers include Taylor Akins, Stevie McDonald, Chris Land, Bobby Hall, Bobby May and Danny Drake.
