Harvey Guthrie

A graveside service for Harvey Guthrie will be held Thursday, June 21, 2018, at 3 p.m. from Linwood Cemetery in Neshoba County with Rev. Jerry Bishop officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 1 p. m. until 2:30 p. m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home prior to service.Mr. Guthrie, 86, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018.A native of Winston County and former resident of Mobile, AL, he moved to Meridian and worked at NAS Meridian. He later moved to the Linwood Community in Neshoba County after retirement. Mr. Guthrie was a member of Neshoba Baptist Church.Survivors include son, Mike Guthrie of Philadelphia; granddaughter, Ashley Weaver (Joel) of Olive Branch; great-grandson, Davis Weaver; and several nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Guthrie was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, in 2016; and brothers, James, Paul and Roger Guthrie.
