Jeffery Paul Posey

Funeral Services for Jeffery Paul Posey will be held Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 12 noon from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Aaron Chunn officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 10 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.

Mr. Posey, 43, of Philadelphia, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at his home.

Jeffery was born in Meridian to Paul and Mary Ann Posey and was raised in Neshoba County all his life. He attended Neshoba Central High School and Meridian Community College where he received his nursing degree. He worked several nursing jobs with Rush Hospital and later served as the Administrator at Choctaw Residential Center and his final assignment was with Winston Medical Center. He enjoyed trapping and most of all, spending time with his family. Jeffery was of Christian faith. He was loved by all and will be surely missed.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Anna Posey; daughters, Peytan and Harper Posey; son; Nathan Posey; parents, Paul and Mary Ann Posey; sisters, Melissa Posey (Tina) and Leigh Ann Posey; brother, Eddie Posey (Renee); several nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Mr. Posey was preceded in death by grandparents; Chester and Magaline Eakes; Madison and Gladys Posey.

Pallbearers: Marcus Knight, Jason Eakes, Shannon Eakes, Dylan Chunn, Wesley Moorehead, Danny Cain, Dusty Cain and Tanner Chunn.
