Joseph "Joe" White

Graveside services for Joseph “Joe” White will be held Monday, August 11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. from Pleasant Springs Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Bro. Taylor Yarbrough officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.

Joe was born to A.D. and Gracie Palmer White. He spent his early years in Kemper County. Joe attended Lynville Schools and later West Kemper graduating class of 1974. After graduation he started work at Northern Electric, and was also an insulation contractor, where he served many clients over the East Mississippi area. Later he transitioned into work with Alply, where he traveled the US on jobs. After retirement from Alply, he was the community handyman. Joe loved coin collecting, music and fishing. He was Baptist by faith.

Joe is survived by daughter, Alisha Thomas (Dustin) of Preston, MS; grandson, Lawson Thomas; special friend, Ouida McLaurin; special cousins, John White (Jan) of Louisville, MS and their children and grandchildren. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and their families.

He is preceded in death by his parents, A.D. and Gracie Palmer White; sister, Linda Altimor; brothers, James White and Robert White.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Thomas, John White, Joey Holdiness, and Lester Holdiness.
