Billie Joyce Goforth

Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from McClain-Hays Chapel with the interment to follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in the House community. Bro. David Richardson will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm -7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at McClain-Hays.

Mrs. Goforth passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at her residence in Brandon.

Joyce was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County. Graduate of Beulah Hubbard High School. After graduation she married the love her life, Charles, in 1959. She was the owner and operator of Joyce's Alterations in Philadelphia for many years until she retired. She loved tending to her flower garden, taking her daily walks and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a member of Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna (David) Burleson of Pearl; grandchildren, Sara Goforth, Brittni (Julian) Taylor, Brandi Young, and Nick (Megan) Young; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Lois Huffmaster of Meridian and Gaynell Conner of Columbus; a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Goforth; sons, Gordon Goforth, and Donny Goforth; daughter, Shirley Apperson; grandson, Charles Goforth, parents, Billy and Agnes Butts; brother, Clyde Butts.

Pallbearers are James Apperson, Terry Penson, Marcus Butts, David Burleson and Nick Young.
