Joyce Marie Triplett Myers

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, June 22, 2025, at Plattsburg Cemetery in Noxapater, MS for Mrs. Joyce Triplett Ryals, 94, of Hattiesburg, MS, who died Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

Joyce Marie Triplett Ryals, born May 16, 1930, in Scooba, Mississippi, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and service. She was the beloved daughter of Fred Glenn Triplett and Lillian Myree Rigdon Triplett.

Joyce graduated from high school in Scooba and journeyed from there, dedicating much of her life to caring for others as a compassionate nurse at Baptist Hospital in New Orleans. Her unwavering commitment touched countless lives throughout her distinguished nursing career. As the wife of Baptist minister Jesse Wallace Ryals, Joyce was a pillar of strength and a devoted mother, known for her deep and abiding faith in Christ, which guided her entire life.

Joyce is survived by her children, Ronald Ryals, Beverly Ryals Lee, and Patricia Graham, as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will cherish her memory. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Donnie Ryals.

In her final seven years, Joyce enjoyed retirement in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, surrounded by cherished friends and family. Her warmth, kindness, and steadfast devotion to her faith left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Joyce will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a faithful servant of Christ and a beacon of love. She will be laid to rest in Philadelphia, Mississippi, beside Jesse Wallace Ryals, her beloved husband of over fifty years.
