Funeral Services for Mrs. June Fulton will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Dr. Evan Humphries and Dr. Dan Howard officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays.
Mrs. June Fulton, born on March 9, 1935, in Mount Olive, Mississippi, passed away on May 21, 2025 at St. Dominic's Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service. A retired school teacher, June was passionate about education and instilled a love for learning in countless students throughout her career. She graduated with her education degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, where she laid the foundation for a life dedicated to nurturing future generations.
On October 7, 1959, she married the love of her life, Forrest Fulton, who survives her. Together, they shared a remarkable 65 years of marriage filled with joy, companionship, and unwavering support for each other.
June is also survived by her beloved son, Jim Fulton, who is married to LeeAnn, and her cherished daughter, Jan Fulton Copeland, married to Bill “Bootsie” Copeland. She was a proud grandmother, affectionately known as "Mimmi" to Coker Fulton (Chelsea) and Kip Fulton (Adrienne), and a doting great-grandmother to her two great-grandsons, Gunner and Pullen Fulton. June was preceded in death by her parents, WC and Cleo Harvey, and her sister, Willie Blanch Harvey. A faithful member of First Baptist Church of Philadelphia, June lived her life guided by her faith and was an active participant in her church community. Known for her phenomenal cooking, she brought family and friends together around the dinner table, creating cherished memories through her delicious meals. Her warm presence, kind heart, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Pallbearers will be Coker Fulton, Kip Fulton, Steve Cannon, Dr. Tim Cannon, Tyler Nicholson, Cody Bryan, Lane Taylor and Mandy Fulton.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested all memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Philadelphia Child Care Ministry.
In the words of Isaiah 40:31, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint. "This verse reflects June's enduring faith and the strength she found in her relationship with Jesus Christ, a source of comfort and inspiration throughout her life.
