A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 3:30 p.m. at the Morrow Cemetery located in the Dixon community of Neshoba County with Bro. David Richardson Officiating.
Lance Palmer passed away on September 27, 2025 at the age of 78 at the Poplar Springs Nursing Center in Meridian, Mississippi. Born in Philadelphia, Mississippi, he grew up and his family lived northeast of Philadelphia near the Coy community. He previously attended CoyMethodist Church and attended area schools.
Lance was predeceased by his parents and grandparents. He was the only child of William Carroll Palmer, Jr. and Lyda Gardner Palmer Tingle. His paternal grandparents were William Carroll Palmer, Sr. and Wilsie Palmer. Maternal grandparents were James Alton Gardner and Nannie Pearl Gardner. Growing up, Lance was especially close to and enjoyed staying with his grandmother Wilsie.
Lance is survived by a number of maternal and paternal cousins who live in Mississippi and across the country.
Over the years, Lance expressed his faith in God. Lance found joy, peace and comfort reading his Bible. This was especially true in his later years of life. Later in life, Lance resided at the Poplar Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Meridian, Mississippi. We are thankful to everyone at the Center for the love, care and friendship provided to Lance during his years there.
