Funeral Services for Kathy Bowman will be held Saturday, July 25, 2025 at 4 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Dewayne Kelsey officiating. Burial will follow in Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 1 p.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.
Kathy Bowman, 73, of Louisville, MS went to be with her lord and savior on Thursday, July 23, 2026.
Linda Kathleen Bowman was born on December 9, 1952 in Neshoba County to Daniel Rudolph Ming and Billie Maureen Williamson Ming.
Kathy loved riding her mules, horses and to dance and enjoyed life. She loved to ride in the Dixie National Smith County wagon train with all of her wagon train family and also going to Seven Springs Trail and having a good time with her riding family there. She loved to go the Neshoba County Fair each year to see her fair friends Kathy never met a stranger and would always give them a hug and a smile, she loved people and meeting new friends.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Bobby Bowman; sons, Daniel Cargile, Larry Cargile and Sam Downing (Cindy); sisters, Donna Harris (WC) and Rhonda Ming; granddaughters, Cammie Peoples (Austin), Cheyenne Cargile and Brianna Parkman (Mitch); four great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews she loved to do things with.
Mrs. Bowman is preceded in death by her parents; son, Chad Cargile; brother, Ricky Ming.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Gentiva Hospice for taking excellent care of her in her final weeks. We would also like to thank Zion Chapel Church and Murphy Creek Church for all the prayers and support they gave her. She loved all of you.
Pallbearers: Stanley Barr, Scott Baughman, Tim Garretson, Buddy Goodson, Austin Peoples, and Ayden Harrell.
