Lorene Dodd Fulton of Brandon,MS. Passed away peacefully early morning September 21st at Madison Place Assisted Living Facility.
Born in 1940 in Hollandale, MS, Mrs. Fulton moved to Jackson to attend Nursing school and was a well known and respected nurse and surgical nurse for both Jackson Bone & Joint Clinic and Mississippi Sports Medicine for many years with prominent physicians.

She married the love of her life Billy Fulton in 1962 and they made Jackson and Brandon there home for some 62 years and raised three children along the way.Mrs. Fulton loved spending time with her family more than anything as well as long trips to the family farm during retirement years and helping raise her grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Billy Fulton; parents Luther and Mattie Dodd; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Ireland & son in law Kevin Ireland of Brandon, MS; daughter, Christy Posey & Son in law Keith Posey of Canton, GA; son, Bill Fulton & daughter in law Susan of Jackson, MS; granddaughter Lindsay Smith(Alex) of Pelahatchie, MS; granddaughter Olivia Saxton(Trey) of Brandon, MS; grandson Sam Fulton of Brandon, MS; granddaughter Grayson Fulton of Jackson, MS; granddaughter Lauren Posey of Canton, GA; granddaughter Jenna Posey of Canton, GA; great granddaughter Collins Smith of Pelahatchie, MS; sister Martha Parks of Carrolton, MS; sister Linda Dodd of Pearl, MS; brother Wayne Dodd of Georgia, brother in law Jerry Fulton (Delores) of Yazoo City, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She had a long and wonderful life and is finally back with her beloved husband who she missed tremendously and at peace in the presence of our lord. The family would like to thank all for the thoughts and prayers during this difficult time and sincerely thank the staff of Madison Homeplace Assisted Living and Hospice Care. We love you mom, till we meet again.
