Mary L. Berry was born and raised in Augusta, GA where her parents Charles and Hattie Mae Weaver met at Fort Gordon. She was a lifelong homemaker and loved her animals and doing crafts and gardening. She loved her children and grandchildren and was always happy and didn’t have a mean bone in her body. Mary was a Christian by faith and loved the Lord. She was loved and will be missed by all.

Survivors include her husband, Chris Berry of Akin, SC; daughter, Alisha Herron (Toby) of Meridian, MS; son, Dio Johnson of Bastrop, TX; grandchildren, Chris Walker (Mindy), Josh Walker and Corey Johnson; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Carlson, Waverly, Haven and Lettie Walker; sister, Betty Livingston of Augusta, GA; in-laws, Olen “Buddy” Berry (Patricia); sister-in-law, Trici Park (Joe);first husband and best friend, James Johnson; sons-in-law, Paul walker and Patrick Kirby; several nieces, nephews, friends and their families.

Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by her son, Shawn Johnson; mother, Hattie Mae Abney; father, Charles Weaver; sister, Brenda Arnett; brothers, Billy, Gary and Ronnie Williams.

The family would like to thank the Poplar Springs Nursing Home for their Mother’s care, especially Nurse Allison.
