Funeral services for Nan McDaniel Cavin will be held Thursday, May 19th, 2022 at 1:00 pm from McClain-Hays Chapel. Rev. Justin Chaney will officiate. Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 19th, 2022 from 11:00 am until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mrs. Cavin, 85, of Philadelphia, died Friday Friday, May 13, 2022 at her residence. Nan McDaniel Cavin was a native of Neshoba County and a graduate of the Shady Grove School. She moved to Natchez MS early in life where she worked as a dental hygienist and it was there, during that time, that she met the love of her life Grover Eldred "G.E." Cavin. After several years in Natchez they moved back to Neshoba county where the made there home. She was a member of Herbert Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Terri O'Reilly of Philadelphia, MS; son, David Wesley Cavin (Patricia) of Natchez MS; two grandchildren, Lauryn O'Reilly and Melissa (Will) Rouse; two great-grandchildren, Kinsley Cavin and Brayden Rouse; sisters, Kathy Ridout (Dwayne) of Philadelphia, Faye Warren of Clinton and Mavis Fagan of Philadelphia; brother, Jimmy McDaniel (Becky) of Philadelphia; sister in laws, Shirley McDaniel of Philadelphia and Margie McDaniel of Meridian and, a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Cavin, parents, Joseph Lee and Julia Myrtle McDaniel; brothers, Charles McDaniel and Johnny McDaniel; brother-in-laws, Cooper Warren and Frank Fagan. Pallbearers are Will Rouse, Chad Ridout, Greg Fagan, Kevin Frapp, Jimmie Lee McDaniel, Brian Wayne McDaniel and Tommy Wayne McDaniel.
