Audine Joyner

Funeral services for Mrs. Nelda Audine Bates Joyner will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Lin Chesney and Bro. Rusty Walton officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until service time on Thursday. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Baptist Church cemetery in House Community. 

Audine, 88, of House Community, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Madden Lighthouse in Madden, MS.

Audine was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by Billy Joyner, her loving and caring husband of 70 years; her son, Mike Joyner; daughter, DaRee Johnson (Tony); treasured grandchildren, Ashley Joyner and Amber Bridges (Casey) and great grandchildren, Colton Bridges and Gabriella Bridges.

Audine was preceded in death by her parents, W.D. and Sarah Bates; brothers, T. J. Bates and Willie Paul (“Shorty”) Bates; sister, Pauline Thomas.

Pallbearers include Bill Bates, Jimmy Bates, Jay Fortenberry, Everette Rickles, Danny Sharp, and Hanna Watson.

Honorary pallbearers include Casey Bridges and Colton Bridges.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Madden Lighthouse for all the years of love, care, and devotion and would also like to thank Quality Hospice Care for the immense compassion shown during this difficult time.
