Nellie Sue Bond Goldman, lovingly known as Sue, passed away on July 7, 2026, at the age of 80. She was born on September 22, 1945, in Kosciusko, Mississippi. She made her longtime home in Jackson, Mississippi, maintained a 17-year homestead in Tupelo, Mississippi, and most recently resided in Bessemer, Alabama.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Sandra Edwards (Clayton); her sisters, Elizabeth Foy, and Emma Herring; her daughter-in-law, Kim Goldman, her grandchildren, Brittany Hager (Kaleb), Lauren Davis, (Todd) Blake Goldman (Mollie), Brook Gordon (Matt), Dillon Johnson, Allie Edwards, and Caleb Edwards (Amanda); her great-grandchildren, Keifer, Rylan, Kash, Swazey, Macey, Aubrey, Tripp, Lily, Levi, Mykenna, Kolton, Mayne, and Penny; one more great-grandchild on the way; and countless nieces and nephews.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Durwood Goldman; her son, Gregory Goldman; her daughter, Shannon Johnson; her parents, Ira and Mary Bond; her brother, Jimmy Bond (Margaret); and her sisters, Charlotte (Tanny) and Bobbie (Dan).

While devotedly raising her family, Sue also built a meaningful career as an American Sign Language interpreter across the state of Mississippi and later served as an ASL interpreter instructor at Itawamba Community College. Gifted in helping others communicate freely and be understood in the community, she also faithfully interpreted church services in both Jackson and Tupelo, touching many lives through her compassion and dedication.

Our Sue will be loved, remembered, and missed always.
