Ollie Faye Mowdy

Funeral services for Ollie Faye Mowdy will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 11 a.m. from the First Pentecostal Church of Philadelphia, MS  with Rev. Tim Vowell and Rev. Albert Reid officiating. Burial will follow in Bethsaida Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the First Pentecostal Church and at 10 a.m. on February 11, 2026 until service time. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

We are here to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Faye Mowdy age 86 who was born on February 14, 1939 in Neshoba County and departed this life on February 8, 2026 at her home in Meridian, which she cherished and had lived for the past several years and was surrounded by her loving and supportive family. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Bethsaida Cemetery in Neshoba County.

Faye was an affectionate and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend. She enjoyed cooking, reading, genealogy, attending gospel singings, traveling, collecting, spending time with family and friends and going to church. Mrs. Mowdy was a member of First Pentecostal Church.

Leaving behind to cherish her memories is her daughter, Pam (Tommy) Beatty of Polkville; sons, Randal and Kevin Mowdy of Meridian; a host of special nieces, nephews and their families; two special blessings that called her Granny, Calisa Henry and Colin Crenshaw.

Mrs. Mowdy was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Mowdy; parents, Howard and Ollie Williams Farrow; sister, Viva (Rev. Seibert) Killen; brothers, Harland (Rieta) Farrow and Nathan Farrow; daughter-in-law, Sarah Ann Mowdy; niece, Ann Killen.

Pallbearers: Joe Williams, Colin Crenshaw, Robert Killen, Paul Killen, Tim Gibbs and Robin Williams.

Honorary pallbearers: Clifton Killen, James Mowdy and Rev. Bob Wilkerson.
