Funeral Services for Patricia Carol Taylor Warren will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 1:00 pm from Mars Hill Church Shady Grove Community with Bro. Ronnie Gomillion and Bro. Jerry Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 9:00 am-11:00 am at McClain-Hays and 11:30 am-1:00 pm at Mars Hill Church Shady Grove Community.

Patricia Carol Taylor Warren (Pat) passed away on Saturday, May 16 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Pat was born July 3, 1934 in her grandparent’s home in Philadelphia, MS. She graduated from Philadelphia High School in 1952. Pat was the president of the student body her senior year, and loved playing the clarinet and being a majorette in the school band. Pat graduated from Mississippi College for women in 1956 with a degree in Medical Technology along with summer classes from East Central Community College. She received her Inter training at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. In 1957 after completing her training in Miami, Pat returned to Philadelphia to begin her 20 years in the lab at the Neshoba General Hospital. She was the only lab technician with call for many years. She went on to work in the lab and x-ray in the office of Dr. R. L. Moore. Upon his retirement, Pat went to work with MPL Laboratories in Meridian MS until her retirement in 1996. In 1957, Pat married Dudley Warren and they moved to “the country.” A very different life for her from the city. They celebrated 69 years of marriage this past March 12th.

Pat received the “Outstanding Woman of the Year” from MSCW. She was a member of the Mars Hill Church. She also enjoyed playing the piano for years, especially for Mars Hill Church, Herbert Baptist, and St. Francis Episcopal Church.

Pat is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Frank and Genieva (Bossie) McKinney, her paternal grandparents Wyatt and Katherine M. Taylor, and her parents, A. Richard Taylor, MD and Jaunita Bryan.

Pat is survived by her husband; Dudley Warren. Her children; Patricia “Patti” (Randy) Flake, Bud Warren, and Stephanie Warren, sisters; Necie Case and Nancy Clark, brother; Sparky Bryan. 4 grandchildren; Jay (Ashley) Warren, Alan Flake, Katie (Joseph) Fitzhugh, and Warren Flake. 5 great grandchildren; Sadie Flake, Sophie Flake, Clara Lynn Warren, Liam Warren, C. J. Warren, and Vada Fitzhugh. Also, numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and their families.

Pallbearers will be Alan Flake, Sparky Bryan, Warren Flake, Jay Warren, Joseph Fitzhugh and Joey Irby.

Honorary Pallbearers are Danny Williamson, Tommy Woodward, Kelly Paul Clark, Glen May, Tom Nance, Ross Williamson and Son Williamson.
