Paul Roger Johnson, Jr.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Cedarlawn Cemetery. Bro. James Jackson will officiate.

Mr. Johnson, 73, passed away on March 27, 2026, at his residence.

Paul Roger Johnson, Jr. was born and raised in Neshoba County and had been a resident of Winston County for several years. He worked on offshore oil rigs and riverboats for most of his career. Roger enjoyed cooking and baking and always shared what he prepared with others. He liked collecting cast iron cookware, cookbooks—especially vintage ones—and loved teaching his granddaughter how to cook and bake with them. Roger enjoyed studying history and helping others whenever they needed assistance, regardless of their need.

Mr.. Johnson was a member of North Calvary Baptist Church in Philadelphia.

Survivors include his daughter, Amy Laughlin; granddaughter, Kyleigh Laughlin, and her fiancé Wyatt Robertson; sisters, Betty (Bill) Winstead, Sharon (Randy) Deweese, Shelia Smith; brother, James (Brenda) Johnson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul R. Johnson, Sr. and Louise Johnson Gray; and brother-in-law, Milton Smith.
