Paulette Gelpi Hallford, a beloved native of New Orleans, LA, passed away peacefully, leaving behind cherished memories for her family and friends. She was a former resident of Panama City, FL, and Atlanta, GA, before making her home in the Conehatta community of Newton County, MS.
A dedicated homemaker, Paulette poured her heart into caring for her family and found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored deeply. She was an active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Philadelphia.
Paulette is survived by her daughter, Tammy Hallford (Gary Neuhaus); son, Daniel (Amanda) Hallford; daughter-in-law, Donna Hallford; and her beloved grandchildren, Monique Bevan, Kimberly (Joey) Thomas, Joe Hallford, Zachery Hallford, and Evan Hallford. She is also survived by her sister, Virginia Gaudet, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Joe Hallford; her son, Darrell Hallford; her parents, John, Sr., and Ione Gelpi; her sister, Joan McGuay; and her brother, John Gelpi, Jr.
A service to celebrate Paulette's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at McClain-Hays Chapel, with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Father Jofin George will officiate the service, and visitation will take place from 12:00 noon until the service time on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Brighter Days Adult Day Care Center, 309 Airport Rd. #B, Pearl, MS.
Paulette will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
