Ralph Sciple, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of service and love. Born in Hammond, LA, Ralph was a longtime resident of Kemper County, where he dedicated his life to public service, holding the positions of constable, police officer, police chief, and interim sheriff following the passing of his close friend, Sheriff Mike McKee, in 1997. In 1999, he joined the Neshoba County Sheriff's Department as a deputy, later advancing to investigator and ending his career as chief investigator, retiring in 2018.
Ralph had a passion for piddling around the house and traveling to the mountains. However, his greatest joy came from spending quality time with his family, especially his granddaughters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Frances Barrett Sciple; daughters Marcy Roberts (Clint) Wright and Laura Creekmore; granddaughters, Alyssa (Jason) Craig and Ari Creekmore; grandsons Ethan (Chloe) Wilkinson, Corey Byars, and Caleb Creekmore; great-granddaughters Madelyn Wilkinson, Ainsleigh Craig, and Belle Byars; mother-in-law Dean Barrett; sister-in-law Jennie Barrett; and a host of cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Martha Sciple; grandsons Jayson Roberts and D.J. Creekmore; brother Ronald Sciple; son-in-law Allan Roberts; and best friend Ken Spears.
The family extends special thanks to the staff at Neshoba County Nursing Home, AccentCare Hospice, and Servant's Heart Home Care for their unwavering love and compassion during this time.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory be a blessing.
