Rickey L. Norris

Graveside Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, January 10, 2026, from Salem Methodist Church in Atalla County.  Rev. Mike Sullivan will officiate.

Rickey L. Norris, age 73, of Brookhaven, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, at his residence.

Rickey was a native of Attala County. He was a picture framer by trade, and during his career, he had owned two of his own frame shops: one in Jackson and the other, known as Carde Frame Shop, in Ridgeland. He was very creative and enjoyed working in his shops. Rickey was also known for his willingness to help and have a conversation with anyone he met. He had so many stories from his lifetime, some funny, some inspirational, and others just relatable. He had a passion and a deep love for God; he enjoyed biblical history, antiques, and general history.

Survivors include his nieces, Alexia (Woo Sun) Yoo of Lutz, FL, and Carla Norris of Philadelphia; nephew, Alex “Bubba” Norris Jr. of Philadelphia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex Butler Norris and Nadine Turnage Norris; sister, Wanda Jo; brother, Alex “Gator” Norris Sr.

Rickey was an inspiration to many and will be deeply missed.
