Funeral Services for Royce Winford Sullivan will be held Sunday, April 12, 2026 at 2 p.m. from Coye Assembly of God Church with Bro. Justin Bradley, Bro. Justin Hendrix and Bro. Bob Followell. Burial will follow in Coye Assembly Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home and then on Sunday, April 12, 2026 from 1 p.m. until service time at Coye Assembly of God Church.
Royce Winford Sullivan, 88, of Preston passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 12 p.m.
Royce was born on March 24, 1938 to Clarance and Emma Sullivan and he was a native of Preston. He served as a member of the Kemper County Road and Bridge and was an employee of Weyerhaeuser. Mr. Sullivan was a faithful member of Coye Assembly of God Church. Royce had many hobbies that he enjoyed throughout his life that included, hunting, fishing, gardening and most of all spending time with his beloved family.
Mr. Sullivan is survived by his children, Donna Peebles (Randy) of Collinsville and Stevie "SS" Sullivan (Pam) of Preston; grandchildren, Kevin Peebles (Candi), Tyler Peebles (Channing), Kayla Jones (Kyle) and Kristin Hendrix (Justin); great-grandchildren; Macie Peebles, Harrison Peebles, Emmy Rose Peebles, John Mason Peebles, Porter Peebles and Estee Claire Jones; sister, Wynan Johnson (Roy); numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Sullivan was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Esterlene Warren Sullivan; parents, Clarance and Emma Sullivan; in-laws, Elmer and Earlene Warren; siblings, James Sullivan, Willie Lee “Fene” Pratt, Dees Sullivan, Jewel Tucker, Eloise Dunn and Wilbur Sullivan.
Pallbearers: Kevin Peebles, Tyler Peebles, Harrison Peebles, Kyle Jones, Justin Hendrix, Phillip Wright, Dano Edwards and Drew Sullivan.
Honorary Pallbearer: Danny Phil "Spot" and Wright, Danny Edwards.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Coye Assembly of God Church or Partners for Hope.
