Shirley Ann Bozeman, 90, passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford on April 3, 2026.
Shirley was born in Newton County, MS to James Clifton and Orelia Chaney Parks. She attended Beulah Hubbard School. Shirley later married the love of her life Doc Bozeman and they were married 13 years. She was employed for several years at the shirt factory in Decatur and later transitioned into a full time homemaker and caregiver. She loved to cook, especially her famous divinity and other desserts. Shirley loved going to church and fellowshipping with her church family at Trinity Baptist Church in Carthage. She was loved by all and will be truly missed.
Survivors include sisters; Barbara Tuminello (Frank) of Flowood, MS., Jarie Thompson (Lanier) of Tupelo, MS., sister-n-law; Marilyn Ezelle of Carthage, MS., brother; Billy Earl Ezelle (Rachel) of Noxapater MS., step daughter; Cindy Bozeman Webb (Jimmy) of California, three step-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Doc Bozeman, parents; James Clifton Parks and Orelia Chaney Ezelle, step-father; James Ezelle, sister; Linda Johnson, brothers; Jack Howell Ezelle and Jimmy Ezelle.
