Thelma Clay, a longtime resident of Neshoba County, passed away peacefully, leaving behind cherished memories for her family and friends. Born and raised in this community, Thelma began her career as a hairdresser before transitioning to the convenience store business, where she thrived as an owner/operator until her retirement in 2010.

A passionate cook and baker, Thelma had a special talent for creating beautiful wedding and birthday cakes that delighted her loved ones. She took great joy in her pets and treasured the time spent with family and friends. Always impeccably dressed, Thelma was known for her warm presence and willingness to engage with anyone she met.

Thelma was a proud member of East Philadelphia Baptist Church in Philadelphia and was also attending Noxapater Baptist Church, where she found community and fellowship.

She is survived by her son, Bob (Ashley) Clay, grandchildren Sethe Clay, Lacy (Clayton) Edmonds, Chase (Alyssa) Stamper, and Jennifer Clay, as well as great-grandchildren Hayden, Mackenzie, Karleigh, Kendell, Taira, Jackie, Hayvn, Hadley, Cooper, and Clay.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Lisa Ann Stamper; grandsons, Jacky Clay and Robert Clay; her parents, Arnold and Laudie Jones; and her sister, Mary Ann Jones.

Thelma's spirit and love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to her cherished churches.
