Services for Thelma Louise Ladd Herring will be held Friday, October 11, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel.  Burial will follow in Henrys Chapel Cemetery in Neshoba County.  Visitation will be held Friday from 12:00 noon until time of service.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Herring, 86, of Meridian, died Monday, October 7, 2019. A native of Neshoba County, she was a resident of Meridian, MS, since 1962.  Early in life she worked for George Day Studio as a portrait artist; and later worked for East Mississippi State Hospital for 26 ½ years until her retirement.  Mrs. Herring was a member of Westwood Baptist Church in Meridian. Survivors include son, Keith Herring of Meridian; granddaughter, Laura Jackson (Sidney) of Meridian; grandsons, Michael Herring and Daniel Herring, both of Meridian; great-grandchildren, James Caraway, Olivia Caraway and Cleveland Caraway; brother, J. C. Ladd of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Herring was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William Horace Herring; one son, William Danny Herring; grandson, James Herring; and several sisters and brothers. Pallbearers are Sidney Jackson, Daniel Herring, James Caraway, Cleveland Caraway, Chris Ladd, and Jonathan Ward.
