Vicky Chesney

Funeral services for Vicky Chesney will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at 3:00 pm from Smith Chapel Community Church with Bro. Glenn Scott and Bro. Ricky Aldridge officiating. Interment will follow in the Hester Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 5:00-8:00 pm at McClain-Hays Funeral Home and on Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 2:00 pm until service time at Smith Chapel Community Church.

Mrs. Chesney passed away at Ochsner Laird Hospital on June 24, 2026.

Vicky was born to Victor and Fran Savell and was raised in Collinsville, MS. The family later moved to Little Rock, MS. where Vicky spent her childhood and attended Beulah Hubbard Schools. Vicky loved watching tv, being with her family, her animals and was a life long fan of John Snyder and Dukes of Hazzard. She was Christian by faith. Vicky was deeply loved by her family and she will be missed by all.

Vicky is survived by her husband of 32 years Kevin Chesney, niece; Hailey Coker (Taylor), nephews; Tyler Stewart and Doug Savell,    great niece; Lennon Coker, great nephew; Maverick Coker.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Victor Savell and Fran Rucker, step-father; Wayne Rucker, brother; Douglas Savell Sr., sister; Sherrie Stewart, niece; Lauren Stewart, nephew; Douglas Savell Jr., brother-n-law; Corwin Stewart, along with several aunts and uncles.

Pallbearers will be Stan Chesney, Leslie Hardwell, Michael Scitze, Tommy Bane, Sonny Russell and Brandel Russell.

Honorary pallbearers are Joshua Scott and Tim Chesney.
