Virgil Fontenot

A graveside service for Virgil Fontenot will be held 2 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Center Hill Cemetery in Neshoba County with Rev. Jerry Bishop officiating. Mr. Fontenot, 91, of Philadelphia, died Friday, January 20, 2023, at his home. He was a native of Jennings, LA, and a resident of Philadelphia, MS, for the past several years. He graduated from the University of Arkansas and retired from the state of Louisiana. Mr. Fontenot served in the USMC. Survivors include daughter, Cynthia Savoy of Lafayette, LA; sons, Donald Ray Fontenot of French Settlement, LA, and Michael Joseph Fontenot (Mickey) of Eureka Springs, AR; six grandchildren, Chase, Kara, Cade, Alexia, Jordan, and Malann; 11 great-grandchildren, Ava, Ani, Ally, Cullen, Trey, Niah, Riley, Avery, Londyon, Cohen, and Myka. Mr. Fontenot was preceded in death by wife, Delores Fontenot; daughter, Jamie Lynn Fontenot; and sister, Sandra Fontenot Guzman.
