William P. Anderson Sr.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. from West Kemper Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Jones officiating.  Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in West Kemper Baptist Cemetery.  Mr. Anderson, 78, of DeKalb, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. A native and longtime resident of Kemper County, he was a graduate of Kemper County High School and a graduate of Mississippi State University.  He worked several years for Southern Pipe and Supply as office manager, and then worked as a dispatcher for Coastal Carriers until his retirement.  Mr. Anderson was a member of West Kemper Baptist Church.Survivors include daughter, Tami Schoudel (Rick) of Navarre, FL; son, Bill Anderson, Jr., of DeKalb; stepchildren, Mamie Alexander (Al); Dewayne Darnell (Sherry); Robin Wood (Doug); grandchildren, Reagan Anderson Sellers (Jason) of Macon, Preston Ty Anderson of Philadelphia, Zach Schoudel of Navarre, FL; step-grandchildren, Danielle McDade (Wade), Alex Darnell, Eve Darnell, Libby Bell (Jamie), Mike Darnell, Macy Wood; great-granddaughter, Laurelle Reese Sellers of Macon; step-great-grandchildren, J. T. McDade, Chaney McDade, Karoline Darnell, Keaton Darnell, Matthew Bell, Paxton Darnell and Charlie Darnell.   Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha D. Anderson; stepson, Tommy Darnell; and step-grandson, Quentin Darnell. Pallbearers are Dewayne Darnell, Mike Darnell, Preston Anderson, Jason Sellers, Doug Wood and Jamie Bell.
