Funeral services for Bobby H. Hardy will be held Sunday, January 21, at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Mark Williams and Rev. Ronnie Gomillion officiating. Burial will follow in North Bend Community Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 5 until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mr. Hardy, 90, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, January 18, 2024. Bobby was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County. He worked for the USDA and later the MS Department of Agriculture and retired as a health inspector and compliance officer. He was also a cattle and tree farmer. Mr. Hardy was a member of North Bend Community Church where he had served on the Pastor Parish Relationship Committee, chairman of the board and on the Cemetery Committee. He had served in the United States Air Force. Survivors include wife of 66 years, Joyce Barrier Hardy of Philadelphia; son, Mike Hardy (Sarah) of Nashville, TN; grandchildren; Madison Hardy Dennis (Daniel) and Michael Wilson Hardy (Caleigh) all of Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Levi Dennis; siblings, Corrine Brantley, Jane Johnson, Lynda Wood, Narcy Walker, Nancy Williams and Jerry Hardy (Tommie); a host of nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Hardy was preceded in death by parents, Ollie and Sadie Hardy; brothers, J.C. and Ovett Hardy. Pallbearers, Ken Johnson, Shane Hardy, Michael Hardy, Jerry Hardy, John David Williams and Allen Brantley. Honorary Pallbearers, Mike McKay, Art Fulton, Al Fulton, Hugh Barrier, Jim Odle, Aldean Valentine, Kinsey Smith, Bunkie Smith, Danny Skinner, Ferrell Alexander, Richard Posey and Dennis Matkosky.
