McClain-Hays Funeral Service
About Us
Since our founding in 1937 by Jack McClain, Willard Hays, and Jethro Holland, McClain-Hays Funeral Service has remained committed to providing compassionate and reliable care to families throughout Philadelphia, Neshoba County, and the surrounding Mississippi communities. For decades, the funeral home was guided by Charles A. McClain, Sr., alongside longtime partner Barney M. Nowell, who helped strengthen the firm’s reputation for integrity, professionalism, and personal service.
Today, McClain-Hays Funeral Service continues under the leadership of Charles A. “Chuck” McClain, Jr., representing the third generation of family involvement. Our team remains dedicated to fulfilling the specific needs and wishes of every family we serve, honoring the high standards established by our founders more than 85 years ago.
Our goal is simple: to provide meaningful, personalized funeral and cremation services that support healing and honor the life of your loved one. We are here for you—just as we have been for generations.
